PM Clarifies What It Fricken Is And Isn’t About

STATEMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRIME MINISTER

Over the last week there has been unhelpful and uninformed discussion in the media over what it is fricken about, and what it is not fricken about.

The Prime Minister has made it crystal-clear what it is and is not fricken about, namely that it’s not about the fricken targets, it’s about the outcomes.

Notwithstanding the Prime Minister’s clear enunciation of what it is fricken about and what it is not fricken about, there is still fricken confusion in the fricken media about what it is and is not fricken about.

Therefore, for the purposes of avoiding any doubt, here is the fricken story:

It is about the fricken outcomes.

It is about the fricken KPIs.

It is about being fricken laser-focussed on the fricken deliverables.

It is about being fricken globally-frontiered.

It is about fricken chunking down and core fricken competencies.

It is not about the fricken targets.

Even though “targets” sounds like the sort of thing it is about, it is definitely not about the fricken targets.

When in April 2024 the Prime Minister launched nine Government Targets in a press release entitled “Prime Minister Launches Government Targets”, at that point in time it was about the fricken targets.

When the Prime Minister said “Setting targets will put a focus on delivery in the public sector where there wasn’t before”, at that point in time, also, it was about the fricken targets.

When the Prime Minister said “These targets are deliberately ambitious”, at that point in time, again, it was about the fricken targets.

But it is not about the fricken targets now. Now it is about the fricken outcomes. How fricken clear do we have to be?

And if that doesn’t make any fricken sense whatsoever, stop looking at what the Prime Minister said and start looking at that shiny fricken thing over there. That’s what it’s about, see? It’s not about the fricken targets. It‘s about that shiny fricken thing over there.

Look at it! Look at that shiny fricken thing.
