You know, this is such an important issue, and it’s getting more important every day.
Why, only a week ago this whole social media ban was just a private member’s bill, but the Leader has obviously realised how incredibly important it is, because now the whole government is behind it (apart from those scallywags in ACT).
That’s certainly the impression I got on Friday when the Leader pulled me aside and said ‘Okay Erica, my KPI for you is to have this at the top of every news bulletin next week. It’s so incredibly important, we need everyone talking about it. And not, you know, the other thing. Future-focused!’
Well, I didn’t need to be told twice. I’m all over this like ads for rejuvenating face cream and Zumba classes all over my Facebook feed. And the first thing I thought is that I need to do some research.
Because this isn’t the sort of thing you want to rush – I mean, it’s not like retrospectively gutting pay equity claims, am I right?
